From 77c917ded058a18480685a026622eef94ebb450e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nick Mathewson Date: Fri, 12 Mar 2010 14:37:54 -0500 Subject: [PATCH] Give a better warning for bad automake versions. Now, automake should just say "Hey, I'm not new enough for this." --- Makefile.am | 5 ++++- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/Makefile.am b/Makefile.am index c2732d0a..b9791304 100644 --- a/Makefile.am +++ b/Makefile.am @@ -1,4 +1,7 @@ -AUTOMAKE_OPTIONS = foreign +# 'foreign' means that we're not enforcing GNU package rules strictly. +# '1.7' means that we need automake 1.7 or later (and we do). +AUTOMAKE_OPTIONS = foreign 1.7 + ACLOCAL_AMFLAGS = -I m4 # This is the version info for the libevent binary API.
