Merge branch 'bugfix/gdbstub_no_sync_gdb' into 'master'

Gdbstub: Fix bug, small cleanup

Tianzhongxing found a small bug preventing gdbstub to work in certain cases. This fixes it, as well as including some minor cleanups.
