From: Stephen Frost Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2014 19:55:28 +0000 (-0400) Subject: Correct stdin/stdout usage in COPY .. PROGRAM X-Git-Tag: REL9_4_BETA3~18 X-Git-Url: https://granicus.if.org/sourcecode?a=commitdiff_plain;h=721a8bb54602624b24d416f8d9b7b8f97701ecbd;p=postgresql Correct stdin/stdout usage in COPY .. PROGRAM The COPY documentation incorrectly stated, for the PROGRAM case, that we read from stdin and wrote to stdout. Fix that, and improve consistency by referring to the 'PostgreSQL' user instead of the 'postgres' user, as is done in the rest of the COPY documentation. Pointed out by Peter van Dijk. Back-patch to 9.3 where COPY .. PROGRAM was introduced. --- diff --git a/doc/src/sgml/ref/copy.sgml b/doc/src/sgml/ref/copy.sgml index b9c3eb4a73..2850b4763f 100644 --- a/doc/src/sgml/ref/copy.sgml +++ b/doc/src/sgml/ref/copy.sgml @@ -71,12 +71,14 @@ COPY { table_name [ ( COPY with a file name instructs the PostgreSQL server to directly read from - or write to a file.
