+the protagonist wakes up scared.

+Then, a different participant who had immigrated from the former Soviet Union
+said that he was reminded of a story he read in a Soviet science magazine,
+where God and his angels were technicians who kept changing the universe based
+on how humans perceived it. Then during the 20th century, they had to implement
+subatomic particles, black holes and more, and fondly recalled how they once
+took a giant world turtle, put four elephants on top, and called it a day
